A New LCD HDTV for Mom Opens Doors for Future Gifts |

This is a photo of what my siblings and I are giving my mom for Christmas this year. Her CRT television is on its last legs and we thought that it would be a good idea to bring her into the 21st century with a new LCD HDTV. She knows that LCD HDTVs are really nice, but has been resisting buying one on her own, and we all mutually agreed that she needs a new LCD HDTV. She's got everything else she needs and can buy anything she wants, and this is the only thing we could figure out that would make a nice gift for her.
We bought it online and it's the Pyle P32LCD 32" LCD TV, and it'll be so easy to hook up to her DVD player. Down the road, we can add surround sound speakers, too, which will make another nice gift for her. It's tough to come up with gifts for people who have everything, and actually, it's a good thing she didn't feel like replacing her old TV on her own. It opens the door for us to give her all sorts of things related to her new LCD TV, including DVDs, CDs that she can listen to, and even a netbook computer so she can sign up for internet TV and watch virtually anything. I found the LCD HDTV at Super Stop Entertainment located at http://www.superstopentertainment.com, a site aptly named for all the electronic parts it sells.
We discovered the joys of watching internet TV after we got our first LCD HDTV. We just cable over from the laptop and enjoy watching movies or TV shows from subscription services anytime of day or night. Even though mom has satellite TV, using an online subscription service with the new technology of the LCD HDTVs will open a whole new dimension of watching shows on an LCD HDTV. We couldn't do that without the new VGA ports they put on the TVs and computers these days. It's just a joy to watch commercial free TV and I know that once mom gets used to it, she will wonder how she got by all this time without all the latest technology soon to be at her fingertips.
This is a 32" LCD HDTV, the perfect size for her entertainment center. I know she will be totally hooked on it once she starts watching her favorite shows on this LCD screen. I can't imagine going back to the old technology, myself. We upgraded our TVs this spring and summer and are so glad we did. That's one of the reasons that I suggested to my brothers and sisters that we do it for mom. Between the four of us, the cost of this is about what each of us would have spent on mom individually, anyway, so mom is really coming out the winner this Christmas.
