This is an exciting time of the year for my husband and me. Not only is it Christmas, which happens to be my favorite time of the year, but we also had our first baby a little over a month ago, which has brought even more joy to our lives. It took us many years before we were able to conceive, which makes her even more special in our eyes. We do have so much to be grateful for.

My husband and I usually spend some time in the evening after dinner watching the LCD HDTV in the living room. We also have an LCD HDTV in our bedroom, but the one in the living room has the home theater connected to it, so the sound is much better. About two weeks ago, my husband and I were watching a movie on the LCD HDTV, and he was holding our daughter. It seemed as though she was enthralled with the picture on the TV and couldn't take her eyes off it. We watched her for more than a half hour and her eyes never left the TV. The following evening, the same thing happened again when we were watching the TV. I was amazed. I had some children’s DVDs that I was planning to show her when she was a little older, but I decided to try and see if they noticed them. She appeared to be watching them too! She's obviously very smart, and gets that from her mother, of course.

A few nights ago I asked my husband what he thought about us getting a small screen LCD HDTV to hang on the wall by the crib. At first he looked at me as though I was crazy, but when I explained to him that I could play some of our little baby's DVD’s and that maybe she would get something out of them, even at her young age, he did agree and say it couldn't hurt anything. Yesterday morning as soon as she went down for her morning nap, I went online to see if I could find a small screen LCD HDTV for a reasonable price. It didn't take me much time at all to search online to find the Haier HLT71 7" LCD TV. I found it at Super Stop Entertainment located at www.superstopentertainment.com. This little TV was exactly what we were looking for. This LCD HDTV only has a 7 inch screen, and could easily hang near the crib. I didn't even call my husband, but instead, I ordered it right then while I was online. I can't wait to get it set up and see how she reacts to it. I'm already feeling joyful just thinking about it.
