The Garmin GPS Is Handy To Have When Driving In Snow |

Last weekend my husband and I had no choice but to venture out during a blizzard because we had holiday grocery shopping to purchase. While we were driving I thought about how handy it is to have a Garmin GPS in such circumstances. We were staying local so there was no chance of us getting lost. However I realized that it would be quite easy to lose all sense of direction if driving somewhere unfamiliar during a snow storm. When there is snow everything seems to merge together. Driving to the grocery store during a blizzard reminded me that we had better take our Garmin GPS with us when we drive to my husband’s sister’s house in Virginia to celebrate New Year. She lives in a rural mountainous area where they see a lot of snowfall during the winter months. Because we are not overly familiar with the region it would be quite easy for my husband and I to get lost on the back roads without our Garmin GPS. I hope that anybody reading this will remember to take their Garmin GPS with them if they plan on doing any visiting during the holidays.
