HDTV has come a long way, and 1080p HDTV is one of the newest versions. The technical information is, the 1080 refers to the lines of resolution, and the p stands for progressive scan. 1080p HDTV is also called full HD. All of this means that the picture on a 1080p HDTV is outstanding. Both of my newest televisions are 1080p HDTVs and I love how movies and tv shows look on them. It's so crystal clear, nothing like the non-HD channels and movies. Watching movies on my 1080p HDTV widescreen TV is amazing, just like the theater only better. Sure a movie theater has a bigger screen, but having a 64 inch 1080p HDTV in my living room is awesome. The movies look and sound a lot like a theater. Only I don't have to spend a fortune to get in and eat a snack. Not to mention that my couch is much better than a hard theater chair. I'm very happy with 1080p HDTVs and I'm grateful that I have them and can watch them whenever I want to.
