My husband and I like to have regular date nights. It keeps the romance alive and gives us some time alone. Sometimes when we don't feel like going out, we get a movie and watch it on our home theater. We snuggle up on the couch and watch the movie on our home theater together after the kids are in bed. It's so nice to be able to sit and cuddle, which we can't do in a movie theater because of the arm rests. The first time we watched a movie together on our home theater, we loved it so much we decided to do it more regularly. At least once a week, we put the kids to bed and choose a movie from our collection to watch on the home theater. We also go out once a month at least, and do something besides watching movies like on our home theater date nights, like go to dinner. There's something magical about spending time with your spouse without the children. We need that time to reconnect and talk about things in our hearts that are aside from raising kids.
