1080p hdtv, lcd hdtvYesterday I saw my first 1080p HDTV and I was very impressed with it. Supposedly these televisions have better pictures than the LCD HDTVs do and I believe it. We stopped at some friends of ours and they were having a leisurely Saturday afternoon watching television. They were going to turn it off, but we told them not to since we are in the process of upgrading the televisions we have at home and wanted some first hand experience with the 1080p HDTV. It's one thing to watch televisions in the electronics showroom, but another to experience them in the comfort of a home. We bought one LCD HDTV and are very happy with it, but we have two more to go. We thought we would just save for another LCD HDTV but after watching that 1080p HDTV, we're not so sure anymore. It is pretty nice. We are in something of a rush to get at least one more HDTV before the analog cut off so we don't have to buy anymore  of the converter boxes which don't work quite as well as the HDTV as tuners.
