They called me to ask me about what kind of wall paper they should use or the color of the couch and I only had one home theater decorating answer for them. I told them to forget about wall paper and all those things, because the best makeover you can give a home theater room is to set it up with a brand new 1080p HDTV. My dad started laughing when I said that, but I was totally serious about it. I’ve personally experienced the power that a 1080p TV has in bringing the best out of any home theater room or home for that matter. I told my dad, if you are going to spend so much money making the room “look” better and keep the TV you have, its like upgrading the bread around the hot dog when you can get a new plumper, meatier and juicier dog to put in that bread. After some extra giggles coming from the other side of the phone line and some reconsideration, they both came to the conclusion that a new 1080p beast is just what the home theater doctor ordered.
