The holidays are not that far away and with Halloween at our doorstep, I've got to start thinking about what to give the family members for Christmas. I have had my eye on LCD HDTVs for a while now, and I'm finding that there are some really good buys on the internet for home theater components. A dynamite home theater starts with a good LCD HDTV and I think that this Pyle PTC20LD 19" TV/DVD Combo would be the perfect gift for the loft where the kids spend a lot of time playing. It has a DVD player built in which saves a lot of cords, the bane of my house cleaning efforts.
Not only could the kids watch movies and TV shows on this, they could also play their video games on it. It's a 19" TV which is large enough for their individual viewing and game playing, and the price is so reasonable for an LCD HDTV. We have a larger LCD HDTV in the family room that is the anchor of the home theater system, but they often want to play a game when we want to watch the news or a movie.
We encourage them to play their video games because they really enjoy the Wii games which are great exercise and teach them good eye-hand coordination skills. It would also take the sound upstairs, a welcome relief. I work at home and my office is downstairs just off the family room. While I encourage them to play their games and watch good movies, I also have to keep my productivity in mind. If they could be upstairs entertaining themselves and I could be downstairs getting my work done in peace and quiet, I'd be able to earn back the small price of this TV in a week or so.
It seems like a win-win situation for the whole family, so I'm going to go ahead and order this LCD HDTV combo for them. We will probably give them a few new DVDs and games, too. I found the LCD HDTV at Super Stop Entertainment located at http://www.superstopentertainment.com. It's so much easier to buy these things online than shop locally for them, and save money as well as time by shopping online. This TV weighs just 13 pounds so it's not going to be a problem to ship, and besides all those internet stores have shipping down to an art form. I'm convinced the kids are really going to like this new LCD HDTV for their loft, and I'll just slip the box under the bed to keep it a surprise for them until the Big Day. |
