home theater, lcd hdtvWe've had such a busy weekend, and this afternoon we're settling down in front of our home theater to recoup our energy. Yesterday we went to a fiddling contest and it was great fun, so we're going to start out with some video that we shot of some of the outstanding fiddlers who performed there. Every year they have a contest in a beautiful mountain park and fiddlers come from all over the state to win the coveted title of best fiddler in Arizona. It's one of the most fun family events we know of, so we make it a point to go every year.

This summer we bought a DV camcorder and it hooks directly to our LCD HDTV and we have had the best time creating memories on film all summe. Our home theater has been the perfect way to view these videos because the screen is big and our videos seem larger than life. Once we view the raw footage of the videos, one of us undertakes the final editing and then we print a DVD of it and can share it with others, or keep it in our library to view whenever we feel like it.
