projection televisionsI can definitely see the appeal of projection televisions. Unfortunately I will not be buying one in the foreseeable future because I have young kids at home and I know they would stand in front of the screen and this would be annoying. Yet I have seen projection televisions put to very good use. For instance I once spent a weekend at a friend’s vacation house on the Greek island of Salamis. This weekend was during the 2004 soccer World Cup, which Greece happened to win. My friend Panagiota is a soccer fan so she set up her projection television and screen up in the patio outside of the house and we watched while we ate and had a few glasses of wine. I was one of a party of about fifteen people so the atmosphere while we were watching the game was electric and I enjoyed myself even though I am not actually a soccer fan.  From this experience I learned that projection televisions are definitely an excellent purchase for anybody who happens to be a sports fan.  I imagine projection televisions would work just as effectively for sports like football, baseball and basketball.
