projection televisionsThe other night a friend had people over to his apartment for some Rock Band action. The twist was we were going to play on a huge outdoor projection televisions screen his apartment had hooked up. He lives in a newly built complex, which has a third story outdoor patio enclosed on two sides by tall white walls. Out one end looks the city and the other looks over the apartment’s pool area. There is a hole drilled out of one of the white walls where a projector is housed for residents to use when they sign up in the office. What is really cool about it is you can connect your gaming console to the projector after getting the managements permission. This is what we did.

Playing on the massive screen size of projection televisions outside really brought out the inner rock start in my friend. He was running along the couches, jumping with leg kicks and doing his best Axel Rose sway while strumming the plastic guitar. The cool night air, projection television 20’ x 20’ screen and some good music made for a really fun experience. Projection televisions can create a media experience like none other.
