Video Editing Classes Help Make Interesting Movies for Home Theater |

Last night we enjoyed using our home theater to show some movie clips we made of our last vacation hiking Mount Baldy in eastern Arizona. We invited our friends over, and unlike slide shows of old, the audience wasn't bored to tears. It's really great to watch our HD movies on our LCD HDTV. The quality of the finished product is so high now, thanks to classes we took on video editing. Our community college has a class on it and both my husband and I took it so we could make interesting videos of our vacations. We do go to interesting places and being able to share our experiences in an artistic way was a goal we set when we started using our HD camcorder. We like to have our friends over and they had never been backpacking in the Mount Baldy area, so it was really fun to show them what it's like to enjoy this trail on our home theater. Summiting the mountain was a bit of a struggle because it's over 11,000 feet high, and we live at an elevation of 1500 feet, but we all managed to make it, even though we were huffing and puffing all the way to the top, which we showed on our home theater, to emphasize our accomplishment. |
