Learning Marine History with a 1080p HDTV |

I got in bed last night around midnight but wasn’t ready to fall asleep. We are moving out of our place so the living room is nothing but stacks of garbage bags, cardboard boxes and random electronics. The LCD HDTV in my bedroom is my only option at the moment. I’m a huge military history buff. All of the stories, weapons and landscapes really interest me so when I saw a show on the best Marine sniper stories through the history of the Corp. I sat back turned up the home theater and prepared to enjoy. It is insane what some of these active and veteran snipers experienced. An older Vietnam vet with the most confirmed sniper kills in a single attack told his story.
He basically had to fend off 100+ Vietcong wading through a shallow river at night 30 to 100 yards from their position on a hill bank so their squad some ways back would not be ambushed. Using crude night vision and a semi-automatic rifle, he hit 16 soldiers before scurrying away into the Jungle under heavy enemy fire. My 1080p HDTV paired with the home theater really brought the story to life. Our troops are something to be proud of.
