I have an LCD HDTV in our living room so I went to a sports bar on Saturday afternoon to take advantage of their multiple projection televisions. I watched the Celtics/Heat game that turned out to be really something special. It was the best game of the weekend I saw. The only bad thing about watching the game at this bar was the sound was muted on the NBA game so that a group of Canadian hockey fans could really get into the Vancouver hosted NHL playoff game against the Kings. I like hockey but when the second half fight broke out between KG and the Heat, I couldn’t hear a single thing.

This is one reason why having a projection television at home would be a huge plus. There are some pretty great deals for projectors online. A person really only needs the white wall space to hook one of these suckers up. A screen is just icing on the cake.

I have had a Garmin GPS in my car for a little over a year now, and the other day I actually was driving in my buddy’s car and he did not have a Garmin GPS, and we managed to get ourselves lost because we had no idea where we were going. I was able to use the cruddy Garmin GPS application on my cell phone to finally locate where we were and get us back over to civilization, but man was I really missing the awesome Garmin GPS that I have in my car. There are some cool features that are not technical about my Garmin GPS that I adore as well. Like the fact that I can easily slide it out of the holder and take it with me on trips; like I did a few weeks ago when I flew to LA and had a rental car and needed to know my way around town. Indeed, I don’t think I like driving without my Garmin GPS, it just makes my life that much easier, as easy as my cell phone does for communications

So if you already guessed it, I am shopping for gifts to get for my dad already, and so far I think that I will opt for getting him a brand new Garmin GPS navigation system for in his new SUV. I was looking around online the other day, just seeing what deals and sales they have on these newer brands of Garmin GPS navigation system, and boy oh boy was I literally blown away by the low prices that I was seeing online! I was able to easily find tons of great online stores that have Garmin GPS navigation systems for some super low prices and that are loaded with features that can make dad’s commute to work as easy as eating cherry pie; well almost. Indeed, after talking with my siblings about getting this gift together as a group gift, I think that a new Garmin GPS navigation system is in the works for Father’s Day!

Of course, I think that it goes without saying that Garmin GPS navigation systems are awesome for when you are in your car and you are driving around town, and you want to get to where you are going unheeded and while avoiding traffic jams and congestion, not to mention the common freeway clutter. However, my Garmin GPS navigation system is also mobile, so I can simply slide it out of the GPS mount that is on my dashboard and bring it with me when I am going on trips. My wife and I are planning on visiting a few different countries later on this year. So I have purchased the world maps for my Garmin GPS navigation system, so that when I am out and about and in other countries that I am unfamiliar with, my Garmin GPS navigation system should be able to show me where I am, and how to get to where I am going with ease.

My husband is the manager of a large beach cafe and they are having their opening for the season starting in two weeks. My husband has asked me to help him come up with a few ideas to make this party a smash hit, so that people will come in in droves and will stay away from the local competition. They had decided to also hold their opening party on the same day after seeing when ours was. For a while, he's talked about having an outdoor projection television for the cafe, but they've been extremely expensive and beyond his budget. I know that a projection television would give him a huge edge that no one else will have, so I decided to see if there was any type of affordable projection television out there for him to buy.

He mentioned renting a projection television in the past, but I personally think it's a waste of money since it's only for one day. I think it's much better to have something that will be yours, even if it means paying a little more. I didn't mention it to my husband, but I decided that I would be on a mission to find a projection television for a decent price. I figured if I couldn't find anything, he wouldn't be disappointed because he wasn’t expecting to have a projection television anyway. I started looking for the projection television and at first I was really disappointed because everything was so expensive, but I figured if there was any kind of deal to be had on the projection television that I would find it and I persevered. Not long after that, I came across Sima 8' XL Theater 16:9 Inflatable Projection Screen that I found for a great price at Super Stop Entertainment whose online store can be found by visiting www.superstopentertainment.com. Now only was this an affordable projection television it was also inflatable which meant it would be great to put out on the beach in front of the cafe and could be easily removed when we were finished that evening, or after any other event.

I immediately called my husband and told him to check his email. He did and he was blown away not only at the price but the projection television in general. I ordered the Inflatable Projection Screen and it arrived yesterday. Needless to say, there is no danger of the competition beating us out on opening day. We are going to rock the house with the projection television and our other entertainment.

It was a combination of a dorm-mate who almost had a problem playing cards all night and those first few feelings of winning. For years, I played at apartments, dorms, garages and small poker rooms. I never got into online though. Then one day I just stopped playing. My love for Texas Hold’em is showing its face again after playing three times in the past two weeks. It had been a solid year since I actually played a good tournament and cash game. My skills were rusty so I turned to the LCD HDTV for assistance.

There is always poker on late at night so I started watching it. On a 1080p HDTV, it is very easy to see and try to read the players’ faces. As I watched how they played certain hands, I remembered how powerful it can be to slow play correctly. Baiting others on the table into a spider web of chips by the river is an art. I improved after watching poker over the home theater. An unexpected check, check, bet, check usually works.

I Need a New Cleaning Kit for my LCD HDTV Computer Monitor

I recently got this really sweet and brilliant LCD HDTV computer monitor after learning from my older brother that you can actually use most LCD HDTVs as computer monitors these days. I was over at his house one day and I saw that he had an awesome LCD HDTV computer monitor but it was a normal TV. I asked him how in the heck he had managed to hook that thing up to his computer, and he told me the answer was rather simple: he got this nifty card installed in his computer tower that allows for him to convert the signal and use an LCD HDTV as his computer monitor. After learning this amazing news, and adding to that the fact that I desperately needed a new computer monitor, I bought a really nice LCD HDTV computer monitor online for a smoking deal. Now I didn’t go all out on the LCD HDTV computer monitor, because I didn’t really need a 42” LCD HDTV behemoth, like the awesome one that is wall mounted in my living room. I did however purchase a really nice 22” LCD HDTV computer monitor for my home office setup, and it has served me rather nicely since.

Now I have a great cleaning kit for the LCD HDTV that is my living room, but it came with this huge brush and it is not so ideal for caring for the LCD HDTV computer monitor that I have in my home office. So I have been seeking a cleaning kit that is a bit smaller in size—one that is more intended for smaller LCD HDTV computer monitors, like the one that I have. I was looking around online today and found a really cool online superstore that not only has lots of great things to choose from aside from LCD HDTVs and accessories called Super Stop Entertainment—which you can find online at this provided web address at: http://www.superstopentertainment.com. I was clicking through their rather impressive and well priced selections of items, when I found the ideal cleaning kit for my computer monitor. This well priced LCD SCREEN CLEANING KIT that comes with everything I will need to keep my monitor dust free and pristine: the cleaning solution, the cloth and even a smaller sized dust brush that will work better for my home office monitor that doesn’t need the huge brush that came with my other cleaning kit!

Being a Suns fan my team is trailing the Jazz by just half a game so I have been keeping an eye on how Utah is doing. We play them the final game of the regular season and the Jazz play the Lakers tomorrow. Both will be fantastic games to sit down and watch on a 1080p HDTV. Seen in the recap video below, the Jazz laid waste to the Warriors last night. To be fair, the game was played in the Jazz home stadium. With more then enough fan support, I listened to the home crowd cheer over my home theater every single made shot. Korver is a true threat LA and Phoenix is going to need to be careful around. Without a tight defensive showing Boozer, Korver and Millsap will drain the life out of team.

I

have confidents the Suns will take the Jazz in the Conference before it is all said and done. I’m sure others will disagree. What is certain is I will be in front of the home theater and 1080p HDTV for the rest of the Western Conference games on cable.

We knew that he needed to buy other necessities such as a bed to sleep on, a sofa, table and other things so my husband suggested that we get him an LCD HDTV as a little gift from us. I'd been racking my brain trying to decide what to get him, so when my husband came up with the idea of the LCD HDTV I knew that it was perfect. He commented that our son had his eye on a particular LCD HDTV for a while, and that maybe that was the particular one to buy for him.

I left the ordering of the LCD HDTV to my husband and when it arrived our son was thrilled at his new gift. About a week after we had given him the LCD HDTV, we decided to stop in at his house for a surprise visit to see how everything was going. We were surprised to see that the TV was sitting on the floor, but our son said that he hadn't had any time to find anything to mount the television on.

After we saw that the LCD HDTV was on the floor my husband commented that we should have thought about getting some sort of wall mount for him. I asked if he wanted something for the wall or a mount for the floor and he thought that it would be better to have something to mount the LCD HDTV on that sits on the floor. When we got home my husband went online to start looking for something for my son. He came across the OmniMount 2-Shelf Flat Panel Floor Stand For Panels Up To 50" that he found at Super Stop Entertainment whose online store can be found by visiting www.superstopentertainment.com and placed the order for it immediately. Rather than having it sent to our house, he had it sent to our son’s home. He called our son to tell him not to order a stand for the LCD HDTV because he'd ordered something for him and that as soon as it arrived he'd come help him set everything up and get the LCD HDTV off the floor. Our son was thrilled that it was an expense that he didn't have since he'd had so many with the new apartment. Everything is coming together nicely and once he has the TV off the floor it will look great.

Yesterday I went to an incredible concert where they combined orchestral music with a NASA video production about the planets and the solar system. It was simply amazing. They used a huge rear projection television on the stage behind the orchestra and between the visual imagery and the live music, it was quite the experience. The orchestra really delivered energy to the video and did a lot of justice to the rear screen projection television we were watching.

And I was spoiled this week too, when I saw Alice in Wonderland at an IMAX theater. That was an amazing visual experience and I hope that the technology becomes more widely available now. I was imagining what it would have been like to have 3D in the NASA movie we watched. They took us deep into space in the film and we saw real images of all the planets based on recent photographs taken from space. We have an LCD television at home but now I'm thinking that our next one might a projection television so we can get images like those that we saw yesterday and if they have 3D television by then, so much the better. <img src="http://admin.moguling.com/controls/oboutSuite/Editor/Editor_data/ed_icons/emoticons/hot.gif" / alt="projection television">

We are into the 3rd quarter of the San Antonio hosted Lakers game and it could not be closer. The Spurs are leading but only by a couple. If I have learned anything from watching the Lakers on a 1080p HDTV it is that a team needs to come into the 4th with at least a ten point lead or it is going to go down to the wire. There is a solid few minutes left in the quarter and I expect LA to retake the lead before it is all said and done. As great as it would be to see the Spurs win, I don’t think it would do me any good. At the moment, San Antonio is behind the Suns in the Western Conference. If they win tonight, they inch closer to that spot.

Phoenix has never done well against the Spurs. The Lakers will win the conference at the end of the regular season so what’s another win tonight. This could be one of the only time I’m actually rooting for LA along with the broadcasters calling it over my home theater. One thing is for sure both teams do look great on a LCD HDTV.

Garmin GPS Life Saver for a Friend

One of my buddies who lives a solid 45 minutes away asked if he could borrow my car being that he only has a motorcycle to buy new furniture for his place. I was happy to lend him the keys and even happier to have the Garmin GPS after hearing what he went through. There was a local furniture store near where I live. After getting there and finding out all those specific pieces were sold out, he had no choice but to leave. Blindly taking the directions of a guy in the parking lot he ended up lost a city over. I got the call from him, desperate, pissed and ready to call it a day.

The problem was he didn’t know how to get here and I had no idea where he was. The best he could do was tell me there was a Chucky Cheese across from him. I told him to go to the Garmin GPS and click “Recent Selections” doing so he saw a Go Home tab that was for just that. Soon the Garmin GPS got him out of trouble and he found what he wanted online.

Try This Song on the Home Theater

Attached below is a song that will be hard to resist for any type of music listener. It is coming off the upcoming Black Keys album. It is a little taste of what the distorted, well thought minds behind this rock duo have been creating for many years now. In my head, they are the coolest ode to classic rock of my generation. The fact it is just two guys making consistently solid tracks, with unique solos and lyrics is impossible to come by these days. In this song, especially that cool echoing whistle really touches on the classic rock vibe. The song is about love lost, growing up and needing someone by their side. It is an idea that speaks to all of us, unlike what’s normally played on mainstream pop radio stations. The home theater should be loud for this one.

I originally bought my home theater online for video games. Having decent speakers for the computer to listen to music, hot tracks like this the one wasn’t a reason for surround sound. In the end, the quality of the home theater experience makes music easy to feel instead of just hearing.

I asked him why they call it a home theater in a box, and he told me because it comes with everything that you could ever need for your home theater; the speakers, the receiver, the subwoofer and the DVD player. Curious as to how he was able to net himself such a great deal, I asked him to email me the product link to this supposedly awesome home theater in a box he found at this online store. Indeed, he was not kidding or making light of this purchase, he had found one heck of a buy. This cool 5.1-CHANNEL, 300-WATT HOME THEATER SYSTEM WITH DVD PLAYER offers a pretty powerful 300 watts of speaker madness, and he got it online and on sale for quite the bargain. To make the deal even sweeter, it is made by a very well known company called Audiovox, and it comes with a great warranty as well!

Figuring Out a Way to Mount the Garmin GPS to a Bike

This weekend is going to be an exciting one. A few friends and I are strapping up helmets and riding out to the second AMA motorcycle race of the season in Fontana, California. The track is a good hour away from where I live so there will undoubtedly be a few different freeway changes and exits to remember. The problem with riding a motorcycle is all those taken for granted luxuries in a car like a Garmin GPS on the windshield are nonexistent. There are pre-fabricated kits to mount something like a Garmin GPS on the tank but I’m too cheap to buy one. Therefore, I need to figure out a way to rig something up myself.

There is few things duct tape, zip ties and ingenuity can’t conquer. Worst-case scenario the Garmin GPS comes unhinged on the freeway, hits the pavement and shatters into a million pieces. At that point, I would just need to go online and find its replacement. With all the deals out there, I’m not very worried. Here is to the teachings of MacGyver.

But I find that I need one more home theater component in order to complete my setup as desired: a new home theater receiver. I know that once I get my next paycheck I will be in the market for this new home theater receiver, so I have already began the task of looking around online for a great bargain on a new home theater receiver so I can finally complete the setup in my bedroom. I was just really meandering around the web today, kind of clicking here and there and skimming, really just seeing what was out there, when I happened upon this awesome website that has some pretty good deals on receivers. After browsing through their fine selection, I found this awesome Sherwood 200-Watt High Current Stereo Receiver that would just be ideal for the bedroom setup. And better yet, I found it for quite the online bargain too!

The speed and smell of good old air is only part of the draw. My love for bikes started on the dirt and then evolved to the street. I’ve owned a couple of sport bikes but as of late have been locked into a car. My only escape on two wheels has been on friend’s bikes, video games and the occasional race always turned way up on my home theater. I get goosebumps watching motorcycle racing even on the LCD HDTV. The AMA season is underway and there is the second race this weekend I hope to get tickets for.

That is not even the best part; I have a bike to ride. So adios high rev screamers on my LCD HDTV, it is time to take a bike out on real roads. This could possibly be one of the most exciting weekends of the past few years. So pumped.
